Petteril House – Our North Lake District Rural Retreat

You are welcome to stay in our recently converted spacious barn with all modern conveniences. The house is set in a small attractive hamlet one mile outside of the Lake District National Park. A ten minute drive west of J40 on the M6 and Penrith with the many delights of the Northern Lake District (Ullswater, Borrowdale and Keswick) a short drive away. The rural location, close to the River Petteril, is peaceful and we encourage the bird and wildlife.

Greystoke village is 1.1 miles to the North by road, slightly nearer if you take the path across the fields. The village has an excellent pub, the Boot and Shoe, a post office and shop, a very large church and an outdoor swimming pool.

 10Verified Fantastic service and beautiful place ☺ Nice and peaceful break. The owners live next door and we're super friendly and helpful. We've never been to the lake district before so they gave us some ideas of which places to visit. Had a lovely barbecue when we arrived and the hosts also accommodated a few extra requests which was very lovely of them. Amazing people and amazing place we all enjoyed it and the kids also loved it so would highly recommend x ☹ The place was beautiful along with the hosts so nothing not to like

 10Verified A great house with a lovely host in aloe location. ☺ This house has great space, there were 6 of us and the dining space in the kitchen as well as the dining table and lounge were great socialising spaces. ☹ The two fabric sofas were quite uncomfortable.

 10Verified Beautiful & clean house ☺ We had such a lovely time at the retreat. We had a large party of people and expected the house to be big and it far bigger than we expected. The venue was incredibly well kept and clean, not to mention how beautiful the place really is. We had met Rosie briefly who was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The location of the house was perfect, close to shops in Penrith which is only a very short drive away! We all had loved our stay here and would like to pass on our deepest of thanks. We all had thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. ☹ Everything was brilliant.
